According to Yurchyshyn, there is no «empty talk about an attack on freedom of speech» in Europe, because European countries, as well as Australia, see the threat from the Russian Federation and China and notice Russia’s cultural expansion.
«And our pro-Kremlin project „Masha and the Bear“ is still not under sanctions. And we have TikTok with bot farms and AI fakes. And we have Telegram, through which children buy drugs and plant explosives on the orders of FSB officers. And yes, we are now at war with the Russian Federation, not the Europeans,» the MP said .
In his opinion, Ukraine should be at the forefront of security solutions, because «Russia is the one who preys on our children the most, using algorithms and the capabilities of social networks.» He called for sanctions to be imposed on the Russian animated series «Masha and the Bear» and other content, as well as age restrictions for social networks.
«Strategic work is the development of critical thinking (to distinguish fakes and manipulations from facts) and digital education of children,» Yaroslav Yurchyshyn pointed out.
Recall that on January 27, the French National Assembly voted for a bill that prohibits access to social networks for children under 15 and tightens restrictions on the use of smartphones in high schools.
