The Ukrainian Fund for Digitized Art (UFDA) is the first and largest open online catalog of digitized and tokenized works of art in Ukraine. The catalog is created with the support of Digital Original, which ensures high quality and legal protection of digitized original works of art. The fund's archive contains over 2,700 published works by over 50 artists and covers centuries of Ukrainian history. The first NFT auction will be held in February.

UFDA presents the works of artists whose works are held in world-class collections and museums, including MoMA, Guggenheim Museum, Art Institute of Chicago, Ludwig Museum, Whitney Museum, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Ukrainian Museum in New York, Collección SOLO, Fondation Maeght, Centre Pompidou, Kadist Foundation, Mystetskyi Arsenal, Collezione Rigo-Saitta, Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, and others.

The works of the foundation's artists have been sold at such well-known auction houses as Christie's, Sotheby's, Artnet, and Golden's Auction House. Several artists represented Ukraine at the Venice Biennale.

The foundation has already digitized over 5,000 works of art spanning 400 years of Ukrainian history, from the 17th century to the present. These cultural treasures are preserved using high-resolution imaging technology and blockchain technology.

“We strive to make these priceless masterpieces accessible and protected for future generations,” the foundation said in a release.

The catalog was created with the support of Digital Original, which ensures high quality and legal protection of digitized original works of art. Before digitization, each work is checked for copyright. Digitization is carried out in the highest possible resolution
abilities using digital light capture technology. The robot token is minted at the time of purchase, and its data is stored on the Blockchain network.

UFDA's First NFT Auction

The first UFDA NFT auction, which will take place on February 18, will feature digital copies of works by three world-renowned Ukrainian artists — Zhanna Kadyrova, Nikita Kadan, and Waone Interesni Kazki.

At the auction, collectors will be able to purchase each copy and receive the exclusive right to own a digital copy of the physical work of art, which is securely protected and works via blockchain. 100% of the proceeds from the sale will go to the Serhiy Prytula Foundation.

Sales take place via blockchain and are governed by smart contracts. Blaize has tested and confirmed the security of smart contracts, the fund notes.

“We live in a unique time when art is thriving in both the physical and digital realms. UFDA offers an extraordinary opportunity to acquire the first-ever digitized works of renowned Ukrainian artists WAONE Interesni Kazki, Zhanna Kadyrova, and Mykyta Kadan. Their works are held in such renowned collections as the Pompidou Museum and the Ludwig Museum, and are represented by leading galleries and auction houses, including Christie's, Continua, and König Galerie,” says Yulia Berdiyarova, a Ukrainian curator and former curator of the Ludwig Museum in Cologne.
