Ukraine launches emergency application "112" that can work without mobile communication
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has developed an official state mobile application for quick communication with all emergency services "112 Ukraine".
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has developed an official state mobile application for quick communication with all emergency services "112 Ukraine".
In a critical situation, Ukrainians can call through the application - and the 112 operator himself assesses the situation and sends rescuers, police, medics and/or gas service to the scene, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports .
It is noted that "112 Ukraine" works even in the absence of mobile communication, and the extremely simple interface allows you to call for help with one click in any critical situation.
You must log in before you start using it.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs added that the application can be particularly useful:
- in a basement or shelter where there is Wi-Fi but no mobile signal;
- in areas with weak or unstable coverage;
- during accidents or disruptions in cellular networks.
The application's functionality is planned to be expanded. The option to call in sign language will appear soon.
"All personal data is protected. The application complies with state cybersecurity standards. The data is used exclusively for processing emergency calls," the message explained.
The application is available on iOS and Android .
