Ukraine has announced the launch of the second wave of the VD Accelerator Bootcamp 2.0 acceleration program for developers of technological solutions in the security and defense sector. The program provides three months of intensive training, and over 25 of the best teams will have the opportunity to attract a non-repayable grant of $50,000 to develop and scale their products.
The project organizers informed dev.ua about the start of the recruitment. Domestic defense-tech and miltech startups, R&D teams, defense product manufacturers, engineering associations, as well as military personnel and veterans who have their own technological developments can apply for participation.
The main requirement for candidates is to have a prototype or technology with a minimum product readiness level of TRL 3+ (proof of concept stage passed).
The training program will be held in a hybrid format (online and offline in Kyiv) and will last three months. Participants will learn the intricacies of production, engineering, R&D, finance, as well as the specifics of government contracting in the defense sector. In addition to the theoretical and practical base from leading Ukrainian experts, teams will receive individual mentoring and the opportunity to network with manufacturers, investors, the military and other representatives of the defense ecosystem.
We would like to remind you that the first stream of the accelerator brought together over 200 Ukrainian defense-tech teams. According to the results of the preliminary selection, the 27 best projects received financial support in the form of grants of $60,000 each and are currently continuing to scale their own technologies in collaboration with specialized experts and military partners.
