As Sky News reports, citing the country’s Defense Minister John Healy, the United Kingdom is investing these funds to provide Ukraine with new defense capabilities that will help shoot down Russian drones during the winter.
According to Gili, «Kyiv will receive air defense systems, missiles, and automated turrets to shoot down drones.»
The publication recalled that Gili will also co-chair the 32nd round of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format, where further assistance from European partners will be discussed.
Recall that previously the United Kingdom and Ukraine signed an agreement on the production of interceptor drones for Ukraine. The first 1,000 units of these drones are already expected.
It is also known that the Ukrainian UKRSPECSYSTEMS is about to launch the production of its reconnaissance UAVs in the United Kingdom.
