This is not just an isolated incident, but a systematic attempt to use digital platforms to recruit children into terrorist activities.
According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the teenagers were found through groups on Telegram and TikTok.
Russian curators used manipulative scenarios: «just revenge,» «punishment of offenders,» «protection of relatives.»
Separately, investigators recorded another detail: after completing the task, the teenagers were encouraged to commit suicide in order to get rid of witnesses.
What did the performers plan?
In the Kirovohrad region, a 15-year-old student received instructions to make a homemade explosive device and detonate it in a lyceum during recess.
Additionally, he was supposed to take his grandfather’s gun, use a knife, and attack those who survived the explosion.
During the searches, law enforcement officers seized explosives, weapons, and equipment with evidence of contacts with Russian curators.
At the same time, another schoolboy was caught in the Odessa region during the recruitment phase. According to the investigation, they planned to send him weapons by mail to carry out an attack.
Criminal case
One of the suspects has already been charged with preparing for a terrorist attack. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
