"Eternal notebook" is a golden mean between a paper version and a gadget where you can write, erase and write again an infinite number of times

A New York startup has unveiled an interesting gadget on Kickstarter — a lightweight, thin notepad that lets you write, erase, and write again. This "forever notepad" has some advantages over digital note-taking apps that require a charged phone, tablet, watch, or computer.
The HEYfold “eternal notebook” from startup HEYii is 4 mm thick. Its Permaflex silicone base and Inksync coating make each of its four surfaces a durable page on which you can write anything you want. Then you just need to wipe it with the included wipe and start again. The notebook supports wet and dry erasing. Unlike a board, it does not leave stains or faint marks from previous use. There is also a wide selection of compatible pens for different needs and styles, writes New Atlas.
The HEYfold also has magnets under its surface, so you can leave it on your fridge or carry it around on your laptop. These magnets also help secure your pen and other accessories. You can even use the folded device as a bookmark or stand by attaching it on both sides around a page.
The notebook is available in “Essential” (14.7×21 cm) or “Pocket” (14.7×10.4 cm) sizes, with the smaller notebook designed to be carried in pockets without the thickness of a traditional mini notebook.
To store notes, the startup has developed a special program that instantly converts digital photos into high-quality PNG or PDF files that can be synchronized with file storage or online services like Google Drive.
Sure, the gadget only has four writing surfaces, so it might not be the best place to write a memoir, but it's perfect for students, work meetings, travel, sketching, brainstorming, and lists. Plus, it offers a notebook "experience" with the flexibility to update content like you would in a digital format.
An added bonus is that when the notebook is open, it offers a completely flat surface that doesn't need support, which is handy for jotting down things on the go. The pocket version weighs just 75g, while the larger model weighs 138g.
