From the start of development to the publication of the site - a little more than two days. Thanks to what indicators Ukraine was ahead of everyone in the Wix study

Wix recently released its first global study, which analyzes the behavior of over 300 million platform users in 2026.

According to The Wix State of Websites study, this year websites are publishing twice as fast as last year.

In 2026, the average time from start of work to publication of a website in the world was reduced to 4 days — so this is happening 50% faster than in 2025, when it took an average of 8 days.

Meanwhile, Ukrainians, as statistics show, are even faster. Over the years 2025–2026, the average time to publish a website in Ukraine decreased by approximately 33% — from 3.3 to 2.2 days. This is almost twice as fast as the global average of 4 days.

In addition, as the Wix press service reports, Ukrainians have become more serious about their own domains. The share of own domains among published premium websites in Ukraine has almost tripled in three years — from 15,4% (2022) to 43,2% (2025). Half of Ukrainian websites with their own domain (50%) connect it before launch or on the day of launch — this is noticeably more than 34% in 2022.

In addition, we can conclude that Ukrainian sites are monetized almost on par with the world. The number of professional sites in Ukraine that started generating income in the first year of operation increased by 46% over 2022–2025 — this almost coincides with the global indicator (48%).

What other global trends does the study show?

The study also focuses on how AI is changing the process of creating websites, how they are now found, and how they bring revenue to businesses.

Yes, website owners are increasingly managing their websites through AI chats: almost 32,000 users have connected Wix MCP to manage their website through a regular conversation with an LLM like Claude or ChatGPT.

Meanwhile, having your own domain has become a sign of trust, not a formality, as the share of sites with their own domain has increased 2.5 times in three years — from 26% (2022) to 66% (2025).

Sites are also monetizing more quickly. In particular, the number of professional sites that started generating revenue in their first year of operation increased by 48% between 2022 and 2025.

Search remains the main source of traffic (42%), but direct engagement (40%) has almost caught up with it. Meanwhile, traffic from LLM (ChatGPT and others) is still less than 1% of the total, but has grown 4x year-over-year. AI platforms are already «scanning» almost 700,000 Wix sites every month.

The company also noted that sites with a blog are 5 times more likely to generate sales and bookings, and those with more than 50 posts receive 7 times more sessions each month than sites without a blog.

Reviews directly impact revenue: sites with over 50 reviews have a median revenue 40 times higher and receive 24 times more traffic than sites with fewer than 50 reviews.
