Ukrainian eCommerce Day — a platform of solutions for the development of e-commerce in Ukraine

On May 16, the Ukrainian eCommerce Day conference was held in Kyiv, bringing together about 300 participants from the fields of online commerce, finance, logistics, and digital technologies. The event became a platform for discussing key decisions and trends in the development of e-commerce in Ukraine.

On May 16, 2025, the Ukrainian eCommerce Day industry conference, organized by the Ukrainian Association of Fintech and Innovation Companies, was held in Kyiv. The event brought together about 300 participants, including representatives of banks, e-commerce platforms, logistics services, technology companies, and marketing agencies. Visa, the world leader in the electronic payments industry, became the general partner of the event.

Ukrainian eCommerce Day is an annual professional event that brings together key digital business players around the topics of online commerce development, innovative solutions, customer experience, digital payments, and the regulatory environment. The event is part of a series of UAFIC initiatives aimed at developing the fintech ecosystem in Ukraine.

The conference became a space for professional discussion of the challenges and opportunities facing the e-commerce market in Ukraine. During his opening remarks, Rostyslav Dyuk, Chairman of the Board of UAFIC, emphasized the importance of developing digital infrastructure even in times of war:

«E-commerce is not a tribute to fashion, it is a tribute to realities, because in times of war we saw that it is possible to destroy physical infrastructure, but it is difficult to destroy the spirit of entrepreneurship, the spirit of defending one’s state, and digital infrastructure».

At the beginning of the conference, Rostyslav Dyuk also presented the eCommerce map of Ukraine, which displays the main companies actively working in the field of e-commerce as of 2025. This tool was created to visualize the market ecosystem and establish more effective cooperation between players. Other companies that have the relevant expertise and desire to become part of an open e-commerce community can also join the map. For more information, see the link.

The Ukrainian eCommerce Day conference program included a keynote speech, a series of panel discussions, practical cases, and discussions of applied solutions for e-commerce business growth. Participants spoke about effective digital tools, working with customer data, adapting to new consumer behavior models, and the challenges companies face in times of war.

Tetyana Chorna, Vice President and Regional Manager of Visa in Ukraine, emphasized the key role of payment instruments in creating a seamless customer experience.

«Today, e-commerce has become an integral part of everyday life all over the world. And Ukrainian consumers have also become accustomed to the convenience of online shopping. In just a few clicks, the product is in the cart and in Ukrainian realities the next day it is delivered to your home or to the nearest post office. But between the moment of choosing a product and receiving your dream purchase, there is a key stage — payment».

This focus on payment solutions became one of the leading topics of the event, as convenience, security, and speed of payment directly affect the success of e-commerce business. Meaningful coverage of the conference topics was made possible thanks to partnerships with leading media, information and analytical resources. The event’s information partners were Web-promo, Netpeak, NABU, Shop-expess and Prom. At the same time, media support was provided by Mind, dev.ua, retailers.ua, Fintech Insider, Speka, Kosht.media and ua.news. The analytical partner of the event was Fintechly.

Ukrainian eCommerce Day became a platform for professional exchange of experience, open dialogue between market players and presentation of practical solutions that contribute to the development of e-commerce in Ukraine. The event demonstrated high interest in the topic from business, the technology sector and financial institutions.
