Ukrainian Farsight Vision launches tool that locates enemy drones based on intercepted broadcasts

Ukrainian defense-tech company Farsight Vision has introduced a new tool, FSV Localizer, which allows you to determine the location of an enemy drone based only on video footage or broadcast from its onboard camera. The solution is designed for reconnaissance units and operators of counter-UAV systems.
According to the developers, the system analyzes frames from the captured video and automatically compares them with the real landscape of the area. As a result, the user receives the coordinates of the drone on the map and the route of its movement.
To work with the service you need:
select the search area on the map;
upload photos, videos or provide a link to a video stream from the drone’s onboard camera;
run the analysis.
After processing the data, FSV Localizer determines the position of the drone and displays the direction of its flight with numbered dots. This allows you to establish the current or previous location of the drone without the use of specialized radio direction finding equipment.
«In modern warfare, an intercepted video stream from a drone is a trace, it is potential information about the enemy’s positions — if you can read this trace correctly. FSV Localizer gives units the opportunity to convert the intercepted video into a specific point on the map in a matter of seconds — where the drone took off, where it is flying, where it is now. This is critical information for those responsible for countering air threats,» said Farsight Vision CEO Viktoriya Yaremchuk.
The company notes that FSV Localizer is part of the development of the Farsight Vision platform in the direction of analyzing intelligence information and technologies for countering drones in combat conditions.

Farsight Vision develops computer vision and geospatial analysis software for military intelligence. The company specializes in tools that help analyze drone video and images, automate object search, and work with intelligence data. The new FSV Localizer extends these capabilities by allowing you to determine the location of enemy UAVs using only video from their cameras.
