The Cabinet of Ministers has changed the rules for reissuing a deferral: the previous one will be valid until a decision is made on a new application
The Cabinet of Ministers has changed the procedure for issuing and reissuing deferments from mobilization. Now, military conscripts who already have a valid deferment can issue a new one on a different legal basis, without losing the previous one during the consideration of documents.
The Cabinet of Ministers has changed the procedure for issuing and reissuing deferments from mobilization. Now, military conscripts who already have a valid deferment can issue a new one on a different legal basis, without losing the previous one during the consideration of documents.
The Ministry of Defense explains: if a person received a deferment due to education, and later acquired the right to it as a father of many children or due to the need to constantly care for a relative, he will be able to reissue the deferment without the risk of losing his current status.
While the commission is considering the application, the current deferral will remain valid, unless there are grounds for its cancellation. If the new deferral is approved, the previous one will be canceled only after the information is entered into the «Oberig» register. If the re-registration is denied, the previous deferral will be valid until the end of its validity period.
The updated procedure also provides for:
the ability to apply for a deferral or re-issue through the Central Administrative Service using the «Diya» portal;
automatic check whether a person is on military service and has a valid deferment;
the ability to submit a new application if there are less than 30 days left until the end of the current deferral or if it is about its re-registration;
The term for considering applications is up to seven working days, and if additional requests to state bodies are required, up to 15 working days. The applicant cannot be referred to a military medical commission until a decision is made.
After a positive decision, information about the new deferral must be entered into the «Oberig» register within one calendar day. The government also clarified the procedures for issuing deferrals for reserved employees, civil servants, and certain categories of officials.
