He told this to the author of the YouTube project «10 Stupid Questions» Sergey Miroshnichenko. According to the UAV crew commander, when observation groups report the sound of an internal combustion engine (ICE), the operators of the interceptor drones see a corresponding mark on the interactive map.
«And in fact, it’s this idiot on a moped… And you can’t turn the drone back, because you just don’t know… You have to gain altitude and blow it up [the interceptor], because you just can’t do anything. Thanks to this man,» the military man said.
He explained that when operators see a target on the screen, they don’t know if it’s a false target or not, because they only have acoustic confirmation.
«If these people paid for every f*cking drone, I think no one would drive like that. They wouldn’t have money for fuel,» the UAV crew commander summed up.
They wanted to introduce liability for loud exhaust noise from cars and motorcycles in Ukraine from the very beginning of the full-scale invasion. In 2023, the Verkhovna Rada registered draft law No. 9564, which provides for liability for driving vehicles that exceed the permissible noise level. It provides for fines from UAH 17,000 to UAH 34,000 and deprivation of driver’s licenses for six months. However, the draft law has not yet been put to a vote.
In March 2026, the Ivanovska rural territorial community in Vinnytsia reported numerous complaints from residents about motorcycles with straight-through mufflers, which cause the vehicle to roar loudly. The community authorities indicated that they were considering requisitioning such motorcycles for the benefit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
