The Kyiv State Design Bureau "LUCH" presented an updated missile for the "Vilkha" multiple launch rocket system at the international defense exhibition MSPO 2026. The new ammunition is currently in the final stage of testing.
The declared maximum range of the upgraded missile is 110 km, and the mass of its warhead reaches 220 kg. The new ammunition has a standard caliber of 300 mm, a length of 7.6 m and a total mass of 907 kg.
Throughout the flight path, the missile makes adjustments to the specified coordinates using a combination of satellite navigation and an onboard inertial system.
The main technical difference of the presented sample from previous versions of the "Vilkha" family was the changed design of the tail section, which is now equipped with a rotating block. In previous modifications, the entire ammunition body rotated around the longitudinal axis during flight. The new engineering solution allows the missile body to be kept fully stabilized in the air, which increases the quality of control and the accuracy of hitting targets.
