As noted in the VIRSHI press release, the initiative is being implemented jointly by VIRSHI (One Philosophy group of companies) and the Kyiv Regional Military Administration. Potential participants must submit an application by December 4 with a description of the problem or idea they want to solve with the help of AI. Mentors will assess the clarity of vision, the company’s willingness to invest resources, and understanding of the expected value.
Selected businesses will be paired with a team of AI developers at the event. In an intensive brainstorming session, the parties will work together to develop a solution — from setting a business goal and data requirements to a possible technical approach and estimated cost-effectiveness. The idea is to check in a matter of hours whether it is worth launching the project at all, rather than engaging in long and expensive experiments.
AI teams will be selected based on industry expertise, relevant case studies, and experience implementing solutions that actually work in production. For them, MatchPoint is an opportunity to gain access to «live» tasks, better understand business needs, and lay the foundation for future partnerships. Developers and companies will be paired so that the request and technical expertise match as closely as possible. Participation is free for both parties.
VIRSHI emphasizes that businesses often come with a general request «we want AI», without understanding the scope of work, infrastructure requirements, or what value the project should provide. MatchPoint is designed to bring these conversations «to light» before the start: to discuss data, resources, risks, cut out illusory ideas and leave only those that can strengthen the company’s sustainability.
For the Kyiv region, the platform fits into the new digital development strategy and the vision of the region as an economic and technological center of the country. KOVA emphasizes that in times of war, digitalization has become a strategy for resilience: business operates under the pressure of instability, resource scarcity, and rapid change, so the regional authorities are interested in supporting initiatives that help companies adapt and remain competitive.
AI MatchPoint directly works towards three goals: strengthening economic resilience through more informed investments in AI, translating discussions about artificial intelligence into real solutions, and fueling a local AI ecosystem where business, developers, and the state act as partners. The event is scheduled for December 18, 2025 in Kyiv, the exact location will be communicated to selected participants separately by the organizers.
