Co-founder and CEO of IT company Intellias Vitaliy Sedler commented on the split in the Lviv IT Cluster, which he called a «bad story».
According to Sadler, the Lviv IT Cluster was created as a non-profit association of companies for «developing the IT ecosystem, not filling pockets with profits.» He noted that now «questions have begun to be raised about the opaque financial reporting in the cluster,» and a conflict has arisen.
«It unfolds «around the attempt of Stepan Veselovsky and co. to transfer the trademarks and projects of Lviv IT Cluster to themselves. In particular, the TM «Lviv IT Cluster» itself (what, was it possible?), «IT Arena» and a number of others. This can be viewed as pure raiding,» says Vitaliy Sedler.
He addressed the Lviv IT Cluster team and assured them that although the Supervisory Board was not heavily involved in the projects and «does not have a strong connection with everyone,» it saw the work of the employees and «appreciates their energy.»
«What’s happening now is a bad story. It’s an attempted theft. And a lot of the communications we’re seeing are manipulations or even outright lies,» said Intellias CEO.
The Supervisory Board of Lviv IT Cluster includes another co-founder of Intellias, Mykhailo Puzrakov, who stated that in November he was shocked by the attempts of «the hired director of Lviv IT Cluster Stepan Veselovsky» to seize the assets of Lviv IT Cluster.
«For several months until the last, we tried not to bring the conflict into the public sphere and to find a formula for a peaceful way out of the situation, but we did not find understanding from Stepan and the negotiation process exhausted itself,» claims Puzrakov.
Earlier, an internal conflict broke out in one of the largest IT clusters in Ukraine. According to AIN sources and confirmation from the Supervisory Board, Lviv IT Cluster CEO Stepan Veselovskyi transferred ownership rights to key trademarks to his deputy Yuriy Ogonovskyi without consent.
After that, the Supervisory Board of Lviv IT Cluster decided to remove Executive Director Stepan Veselovsky. Veselovsky and the team announced that they were leaving the cluster.
«About the trademarks — they remain with the cluster, the re-registration process was launched a few months ago. The Supervisory Board knows about this — that’s why their communication in the media surprised us,» said Stepan Veselovsky.
Subsequently, Stepan Veselovsky confirmed that he had a dialogue with the Supervisory Board and stated that trademarks began to return to Lviv IT Cluster on November 29, 2025, the latest document was dated January 2, 2026.
