The Russian company VK has filed a lawsuit against Apple with the Moscow Arbitration Court. The plaintiff demands that the American tech giant return its mobile applications to the App Store and restore the function of sending push notifications to users.
In the event of Apple's refusal to comply with a potential court decision, VK is insisting on collecting a monetary penalty from the corporation, Russian media outlet Meduza reports .
The reason for the lawsuit was Apple's decision of June 25, when the company completely removed all services of the VK holding from its marketplace, complying with the requirements of international sanctions.
Such popular resources in the Russian Federation as VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Zen, VK Video, and a number of other applications were blocked.
