Kateryna Chernogorenko, the Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization, noted that the system of passing the VLK, which currently exists, creates unnecessary bureaucratic complications and corruption risks. Therefore, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Health and the National Health Service together with the organization «Princip» are working on the digital reform of the VLK.

«A person will only need a visit to a civilian medical facility. It will be possible to do this at the place of stay. And further, no running around by state institutions — data will run for a person. The entire exchange of digital documents will last a few minutes,» Chernogorenko promises .

According to her, the first stage of the digital reform will be implemented within 3 months. «The result is an electronic referral to the VLK in „Rezerv+“ and, in fact, the conclusion of the VLK itself in electronic form,» the deputy minister reports.

The second stage will allow conscripts to independently choose a hospital where they will undergo a medical examination to form a conclusion of the VLK. «It will be completed by June 1, 2025,» Chernogorenko said

The system will finally be operational in November next year.
