The damage to the university dormitory was reported by the acting rector of the university, Kseniya Semenova, on Instagram.
She noted that all residents of the dormitory are alive, but some are injured.
“For the rest of the attack, everyone was in cover, there was a large bunker in these dormitories,” Semenova added.
Students and staff are being relocated from the damaged dormitory.
The Solomyanski Kotiki charity foundation, co-founded by Semenova, opened an aid bank at monobank.
Later, Petro Chernyshov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of KAI, reported on Facebook that 4 university dormitories were damaged.
"Two students were injured - they were provided with assistance, there is no threat to their lives. The blast wave damaged windows in the dormitories, rescuers, volunteers, psychologists, and the university team are currently working at the scene," he wrote in a post.
This was announced by Ihor Smilyansky, Director General of Ukrposhta.
"The team, some of whose members have lost their homes themselves, is doing everything possible to resume work as quickly as possible, as pensioners have been asking about their pensions since morning," he wrote.
Branch No. 03124 will resume operations on June 18, but at a new address to be announced later. All parcels will be delivered there.
Branch No. 03126 will be temporarily serviced through branch No. 03061 while the company searches for new premises.
The buildings of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute were also damaged during the attack, the university reports .
In particular, the historic building of academic building No. 4, the laying of the foundations of which on June 1, 1898, initiated the construction of the university.
