Vodafone Ukraine recorded an increase in key financial and operational indicators in the first quarter of 2025. According to their press release, the company's revenue increased by 14% compared to the same period last year and amounted to UAH 6.59 billion. The main driver is more active use of data services and an increase in the Internet audience.
Accordingly, the average revenue per subscriber (ARPU) also increased - to 128.2 UAH/month. The company's OIBDA is 3.34 billion UAH (+5%), but the margin decreased to 50.7% - this is explained by the increase in the cost of electricity, taxes and costs for network stability. The rental fee for radio frequencies also increased.
Instead, net profit decreased by 24% to UAH 697 million. Vodafone explains this by the restructuring of Eurobonds, increased taxes, and significant investments in infrastructure.
In January-March 2025, the operator almost doubled its investments. The main areas are: installation of autonomous power sources, network modernization, and reinforcement of critical nodes. The company reports that it has already expanded the list of facilities capable of operating autonomously by 50%.
It was previously reported that Vodafone Ukraine significantly expanded its infrastructure, modernized its networks and announced active preparations for the implementation of 5G in 2024. The company's total capital investments amounted to UAH 6.2 billion, and the total assets of fiber-optic networks exceeded 50,000 km.
