Ukrainian miltech teams Vyriy and "Fourth Law" have begun mass production of autonomous drones. What is known

Vyriy, one of the largest Ukrainian drone manufacturers, and Chetverty Zakon, a leading Ukrainian developer of autonomous systems, announced the start of mass production of drones with guidance.

As the manufacturers told dev.ua, the base for the new line will be the Vyriy-10, one of the most successful FPV drones on the front. Now they will be equipped with the TFL-1 guidance module.

«Over the past few months, we have supplied TFL-1 modules to a number of combat brigades,» said Yaroslav Azhnyuk, CEO of «Fourth Law.» «Using our system has increased the effectiveness of drone strikes by 2–4 times, while the cost increases by only 10%.»

The demand for drones with guidance is growing every day. The General Staff, the Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Digital Affairs have repeatedly emphasized the need to scale up quality solutions in the field of autonomy.

«My team and I have personally conducted dozens of tests. Artificial intelligence for target detection is a real working tool for destruction. It is an indispensable part of the guidance system in the future, which significantly increases efficiency. It is nice to note the progress of the „Fourth Law“: such companies are exactly the asymmetric solution that our army needs. We have decided to implement TFL-1 on our drones, so we expect an increase in the number of destructions starting next month,» said Oleksiy Babenko, CEO of Vyriy.

Another important advantage is that for each target hit using drones with a homing system, the military will receive an additional «e-point.» «E-points» are the official system for rewarding Ukrainian defenders for destroying Russian army equipment and manpower. The accumulated points can be used on the specialized Brave1 marketplace .

One E-point is approximately equal to 10,000 hryvnias in terms of the cost of equipment that can be purchased with it.

«We wanted the additional guidance to have a minimal impact on the final price of the drone, and we managed to do it. The Vyriy-10-TFL-1 will cost only 18.5 thousand UAH, which makes it very competitive even compared to the price of a classic FPV drone,» explained Oleksiy Babenko.

The TFL-1 module is the result of almost two years of work by Fourth Law engineers. It has already received NATO codification.

The machine vision-based system operates on the fire-and-forget principle: an on-board computer with AI algorithms takes control after visual detection of the target, ensuring a hit even in conditions of electronic warfare and additional radio interference.

The software is constantly updated — an update can be installed in a few minutes.

«Given the effectiveness, we expect that in 6–9 months most drones on the front will have similar autonomy systems,» emphasized Yaroslav Azhnyuk.
