Ukrainian unmanned systems developer Vyriy Industries has unveiled a prototype of its new copter-type reconnaissance UAV called SLAVIC. The manufacturer has revealed for the first time the key characteristics of the future platform, which is intended to become a military alternative to popular commercial drones.

The premiere of the development took place at the large-scale international defense exhibition Eurosatory 2026, which was held in Paris from June 15 to 19.
The new SLAVIC drone is being created as a specialized solution for tactical reconnaissance in conditions of intense electronic warfare. According to the developers, the platform is capable of staying in the air for up to 120 minutes. The main goal of the project is to ensure continuous control of the territory and collection of intelligence data without risk to the lives of operators.
«To see the enemy, you don’t need to bring the crew close to him. We developed SLAVIC as a tool that will allow you to control the kill zone and conduct reconnaissance at tactical depth, leaving operators at a safe distance,» explains the concept at Vyriy Industries.
Thanks to its long flight time, the new drone will allow the military to abandon the use of vulnerable civilian copters on the front line. The company is currently preparing a full presentation of the platform and detailed technical specifications, which it plans to hold soon at a separate event in Kyiv.
