Drone manufacturer VYRIY Industries is being searched. The company has announced its cooperation with the investigation.

Law enforcement officers are conducting procedural actions at VYRIY Industries, one of the Ukrainian drone manufacturers, on July 7. Searches were conducted at the company’s CEO, Oleksiy Babenko, as well as at his brother, mother, and the company’s office.

This was reported by the publication «Babel», of which Babenko is a shareholder.

According to the publication, during a search of Babenko’s apartment, law enforcement officers seized $3,500 in cash and copied data from his mobile phone. Babel also reports, citing its own sources, that investigators are investigating the circumstances of a possible overpricing of the company’s products and the conclusion of fictitious contracts. However, there is currently no official confirmation of this information from law enforcement agencies.

VYRIY Industries confirmed that procedural actions were being taken and stated that the company is fully cooperating with the investigation.

«Today, law enforcement agencies are conducting procedural actions at the company. Vyriy Industries is fully cooperating with the authorized bodies and providing all necessary information within the framework of current legislation,» the company said in a statement.

The company emphasized that production is operating normally, and the team continues to fulfill contractual obligations to the Defense Forces of Ukraine and partners.

VYRIY Industries also stated that the day before, a number of anonymous Telegram channels were spreading false information about the company and its manager. In particular, they published reports about alleged searches and the seizure of $5 million in cash, which the company calls false.

Previously, Babel reported on a campaign to discredit the publication and its investor after the publication of an investigation into the «Skelya» assault regiment. According to the editorial office, after the material was published, messages began to appear in anonymous Telegram channels about Babenko’s alleged involvement in an information campaign against the General Staff.

As of the time of publication, the State Bureau of Investigation had not officially commented on the reasons for the procedural actions and had not announced any suspicions.
