Oleksiy Molchanovsky, Head of the Innovation Office of the Ukrainian Catholic University, who founded the Data Science master’s program at the university, said that he is looking for cases of Ukrainian companies implementing AI technologies in certain business tasks. What kind of project is this?
«I am starting to teach a course on artificial intelligence to UCU Data Science masters. This is an introductory course and there will be no technical immersion. My goal is to give students an understanding of the „AI ecosystem“: how technology affects society and business; how these technologies are developing; what are the potential future trajectories (and LLM and Deep Learning are far from the only scenario); what are the threats and challenges of these technologies,» Molchanovsky wrote on his Facebook.
He explained that the students will try to assess the feasibility of implementing AI technologies in certain business tasks. They will not study the development of AI models, but will focus on analyzing market solutions and figuring out how to integrate AI into business processes.
«It will be valuable for us when students work on real business tasks of Ukrainian organizations and companies. Therefore, we invite you to submit proposals that our students can work on,» explained Oleksiy Molchanovsky.
He indicated that the project implementation period is two to three months. Participating companies should be in regular contact with the student team.
«This is a good opportunity to test the hypothesis of whether it is advisable to implement AI in your company,» says the head of the UCU Innovation Office.
Applications can be submitted by September 12 using this form. Students are expected to consider about 5 projects.
