The global ecosystem of W Group is entering the professional esports arena with its own team, WBT (WhiteBIT Team). The first squad is formed of talented Ukrainian esports athletes who will represent the brand in Counter-Strike tournaments. The creation of this team is the first step in implementing a long-term esports direction within W Group.
The creation of WhiteBIT Team is a logical step for W Group, building on the experience of their skins marketplace white.market. The platform has been working with gamers for years and has collaborated with giants such as FACEIT, NAVI, and Maincast. Now the company is moving from creating services to developing its own esports direction.
“white.market has long been a part of the Counter-Strike ecosystem. We have watched the audience change, the industry develop, and the great potential of esports. That is why the launch of WhiteBIT Team was a natural and logical step for W Group. We strive to build a strong esports club that will help develop talent and create new opportunities for the community,” said Vladimir Nosov, founder and president of W Group and WhiteBIT.
The first WhiteBIT Team lineup included Ukrainian players, who over the past few months have been evaluated by the W Group team for their level of play, discipline, team interaction, and readiness for the professional scene.
Despite the fresh start, WBT has already made a name for itself with victories, winning the 2026 Ukrainian Championship from UESF even before the official announcement. The team also entered the top 4 at ESEA League Season 57 Europe and advanced to the European Pro League Series 8. The development of the squad is handled by experienced coach Mykhailo "kane" Blagin - the winner of PGL Major Kraków 2017, known for his work with NAVI and Gambit. An additional advantage for the club is the support of W Group (in particular, the WhiteBIT crypto exchange). The company already has extensive experience working with global sports brands of the level of FC Barcelona and Juventus, which is now scaling to esports.
After a successful start on the Ukrainian scene, WhiteBIT Team plans to gradually move to the international level. The organization's long-term sporting goal is to qualify for the Counter-Strike Major and establish itself among the strongest teams on the global professional scene.
