What will happen to IT Arena after the split in Lviv IT Cluster: Details

We learned how the scandalous breakup will affect the holding of the largest technology exhibition in Ukraine.

While the Supervisory Board and the Lviv IT Cluster team are throwing mutual accusations, IT enthusiasts are interested in the question of what will happen to IT Arena after the breakup, which has gone beyond the boundaries of a local event and is due to take place in Warsaw in the near future.

In a comment to dev.ua, Veselovsky confirmed that the current situation will not affect the holding of IT Arena in Warsaw and Lviv, as this is his project.

"IT Arena is a project I founded 13 years ago and it will be held on specific dates in Lviv and Warsaw. It will be conducted by our team," Veselovsky replied to a request from dev.ua

In its post regarding the situation, the Lviv IT Cluster team emphasized that IT Arena will continue its activities.

"IT Arena will take place on specific dates in both Lviv and Warsaw," the statement says, which actually confirms the team's intention to hold the event independently, separately from the old Cluster structure.

Earlier, the Supervisory Board of Lviv IT Cluster reported that the IT Arena Warsaw event was announced on behalf of the Polish company TIXFORM SP. Z OO, which is managed by Yuriy Ogonovsky, Veselovsky's deputy. The board claimed that the announcement took place without prior approval, although the very fact of holding the event abroad is supported there as an "ambitious goal."

As a reminder, today it became known that the Supervisory Board of one of the largest technological associations in the country, Lviv IT Cluster, has decided to remove Executive Director Stepan Veselovsky . Veselovsky and the team announced that they are leaving the cluster.
