On the night of July 31, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out another large-scale drone attack on the logistics infrastructure in Russia. This time, the drones targeted several large distribution centers and hubs of the Russian marketplaces Wildberries and Ozon in the Volgograd region and the Republic of Tatarstan.
Drones hit a large Wildberries distribution center in Volgograd. According to official statements from company representatives, a fire broke out at the logistics facility, Russian media reports.
At the same time, facilities in several cities in Tatarstan were hit. In Nizhny Kamsk, drones attacked the Wildberries logistics hub, and in Zelenodolsk, monitoring channels and eyewitness videos recorded smoke in the area of another warehouse of the same chain, although the company itself claims that the facility continues to operate normally. In addition, footage of a UAV explosion appeared directly next to the Ozon logistics complex. According to local media, the Wildberries and Ozon warehouses in Zelenodolsk are located nearby - on the territory of the same industrial site.
Wildberries and Ozon are important targets for Ukraine, as these companies generate over 5% of Russia's GDP. Accordingly, the destruction of their infrastructure deals a direct blow to the Russian economy, which finances the war.
In addition, at such civilian facilities, the Russian Armed Forces often store components for drones and other dual-use goods.
The attacks in mid-July have become systematic: recently, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have already hit more than 10 warehouses and logistics centers of the Wildberries company in various regions of the enemy.
Drones attacked Wildberries sorting center in Penza. While Russians are looking for warehouses in Kazakhstan, Ukrainian Fire Point is playing a merch game among those who can guess "which Wildberries will be next"
