Wix announced that it has become a provider for Stripe Projects, connecting the Stripe Projects command line interface (CLI) directly to Wix Headless. The integration allows anyone to go from a business idea to a fully-fledged, monetized product without leaving Stripe Projects. As part of the Stripe Projects developer preview, Wix Headless can now be deployed through the Stripe Projects CLI as part of a modern application stack, enabling teams to move from a new repository to a fully-fledged business environment more quickly.
Stripe Projects allows developers and AI agents to configure services and retrieve credentials from the command line. As a provider in this workflow, Wix Headless becomes a business backend that developers can plug into in the same flow where they assemble the rest of their stack.
With a single flow, developers can deploy a complete Wix business backend: commerce, bookings, CMS, CRM, events, and memberships. It’s the same flexible, API-driven infrastructure that powers millions of Wix businesses, now connected to a front-end developer environment.
Instead of assembling a stack from different vendors and integrating multiple SaaS tools, teams connect to a single backend where payments, inventory, scheduling, and content management already work together, with a dashboard that clients can manage themselves. Resources remain in the user’s own Wix accounts.
As a co-design and launch partner for Stripe Projects’ developer preview, Wix helped shape how the Wix Headless integration works: what exactly is deployed, how credentials are defined and returned, and how the flow handles new and existing accounts. The goal is a flow that works predictably regardless of who is running it: a developer or an agent. Secure delivery of credentials and clear ownership are built into the foundation from the start: keys are not copied between tools, and resources reside in the user’s own accounts. Configurations can be replicated across environments without having to go through onboarding again each time.
This is currently a developer preview, and Wix needs feedback from teams developing agent workflows or looking to move from code to a live business environment with minimal configuration and fewer scripts.
To try out Wix Headless with Stripe Projects, developers can install the Stripe CLI and run the following commands:
