Wix will host its second fully-funded educational initiative, Wix Playground Academy, in Kyiv this spring, less than a year after the program first launched. Wix will host its second fully-funded educational initiative, Wix Playground Academy, in Kyiv this spring, less than a year after the program first launched. Selected participants — aspiring graphic and web designers — will work on real-world design challenges and attend workshops from industry professionals, with the chance to join the Wix team.
In 2025, the first paid internship for designers from Wix — Kyiv Playground Academy — was held. Then 15 participants were selected from 230 applications, 9 of whom joined the Wix team as Junior Designers at Kyiv Design Hub after training. dev.uashared their insights with the programs earlier.
This year, the company decided to extend the training time to six weeks and hold it earlier — from March 16 to April 23 in a hybrid format, combining online and offline days.
Candidates should have strong skills in classic graphic design, branding, complex typography, and color theory. Experience in web design would be an advantage. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma is required.
All candidates must provide a portfolio of relevant work that demonstrates the above skills.
As last year, students will participate in an intensive practical program combining individual work and group creative workshops focused on web design, branding, and identity.
Throughout the program, participants will receive personal mentoring support from experienced designers from the Wix Design Team, as well as participate in weekly thematic workshops conducted by Kyiv designers and design studios.
Applications for the 2026 program are now open and will continue until February 23.
