Website building platform Wix has announced a partnership with Microsoft. As part of the partnership, the developers have integrated the Wix Harmony tool directly into the Microsoft 365 Copilot AI assistant. Now users can generate and customize web pages using text or voice commands without leaving the Microsoft desktop interface.

As part of the partnership, the developers have integrated the Wix Harmony tool directly into the Microsoft 365 Copilot AI assistant. Now users can generate and customize web pages using text or voice commands without leaving the Microsoft desktop interface.
This is reported in the official press release of Wix. The integration was implemented thanks to the support of OpenAI Apps SDK. In addition to directly creating sites, Copilot users gained access to the Wix ecosystem, which allows you to manage business processes and analyze metrics right in the chat window.
To create a web resource, the user simply needs to describe the future site in natural language: talk about the specifics of the business, goals and brand style. The AI assistant will independently generate a ready-to-launch site on the Wix infrastructure. The created page will have basic functions for e-commerce, booking services, online payments, as well as settings for SEO and security.
«Content creation is increasingly moving into chat interfaces. Wix Harmony ensures that developing a professional website becomes as easy as a simple request in the platform you already use,» commented Shahar Talmi, General Manager of Developer Platform at Wix, on the integration.
Microsoft says the move should simplify the work of teams on web projects and minimize the constant switching between different applications. According to Brian Hood, vice president of Microsoft’s business applications and agents, thanks to the interactive chat format, specialists can design and configure sites directly within their usual workflow.
To enable the feature, users need to connect the Wix app to their Microsoft environment and contact them in the chat using the «@Wix» command. Once the site is created, you can manage orders, update prices, or view analytics both through Copilot and the standard Wix Business Manager dashboard. The update is now available in all regions where Microsoft 365 Copilot is officially available.
Recall that in the spring, Wix announced that Wix Harmony is now available in all languages, including Ukrainian.
