Wix opens a design hub in Kyiv: what specialists are they looking for in the team

By bringing together the best design talent, we are taking strategic design to the next level,» the Wix Kyiv Design Hub website says. «By creating this hub in Kyiv, we are not only expanding our global presence, but also celebrating the incredible potential of Ukrainian designers.»

Kyiv Design Hub will become part of the Wix Design Guild, a multidisciplinary in-house design studio that brings together over 300 designers from around the world in various fields — web design, printing, motion, and others. The mission of the Wix design team is to implement a holistic and consistent brand strategy for all Wix visual assets.

«The launch of Wix Kyiv Design Hub is a testament to our deep respect and admiration for the Ukrainian design community,» the company says.

We remind you that Wix has three growing offices in Ukraine: Kyiv, Dnipro, and Lviv. In total, Wix has grown to 5,000 employees in 17 countries since 2006. During this time, it has launched more than 40 products and serves more than 230 million users and their visitors worldwide.

Junior Web & Brand Designer

Job description:

• Perform a wide range of visual design tasks, from initial framework and mockup creation to final design processing.
• Use your technical skills to bring your design to life on the Wix platform.
• Push creative boundaries by experimenting with new design concepts, tools, and technologies to create cutting-edge digital experiences.
• Work closely with project managers and design colleagues to bring innovative design ideas to life.
• Approach design tasks with creative thinking, finding innovative solutions that balance aesthetics and functionality.
• Receive and use constructive feedback from team members to refine and improve the design.
• Stay up to date with the latest Wix features, web design trends, and best practices to keep your designs fresh and innovative.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of professional experience in web and brand design with a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to lead projects from concept to launch.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Advanced level of English proficiency, both written and spoken.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, accept constructive feedback, and improve design accordingly.
• Deep understanding of UX/UI fundamentals, including layout, typography, and image creation, combined with creative thinking to create unique design solutions.
• Highly organized, independent, and productive, with the ability to take full responsibility for projects and lead them from start to finish.
• Proactive and enthusiastic approach that fosters a dynamic and exciting team culture.
• Experience with AI-based authoring tools, HTML/CSS/JavaScript coding capabilities, and website building platforms such as Webflow, Wix, Tilda, and others is a plus.
• Illustration and image creation, After Effects, Blender and/or Cinema 4D is an advantage.

Senior Web & Brand Designer

Job description:

• Use your technical skills to bring your design to life on the Wix platform.
• Constantly push the boundaries of creativity by experimenting with new design concepts, tools, and technologies to deliver cutting-edge digital experiences
• Work closely with project managers and design colleagues to bring innovative design ideas to life, ensuring alignment with project goals and overall vision.
• Approach design problems with creative thinking, finding innovative solutions that balance aesthetics and functionality.
• Receive and apply constructive feedback from team members to refine and improve the design.
• Stay up to date with the latest Wix features, web design trends, and best practices to keep your designs fresh and innovative.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional web and brand design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to lead projects from concept to launch.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Attention to detail to ensure that all design elements are polished and aligned with the project goals.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, to effectively articulate ideas
