We asked how the work of restaurants on the left bank of the capital has changed during the long, unpredictable outages, whether restaurant attendance and the number of delivery orders have changed over the past week, whether you can come to charge your gadgets, warm up without buying anything, perhaps drink a hot drink from a hanging pot, and whether the entire range of dishes is available despite the light. Here is what they answered us:
«Despite regular power outages, our restaurants in Kyiv continue to operate. More than 95% of McDonald’s restaurants in Ukraine are equipped with generators, which allow them to maintain stable operation. The power is usually enough to serve customers and make deliveries. We see that during power outages in any city or region, the number of customers in restaurants increases, because McDonald’s doors are open to everyone: you can warm up, use the outlets to charge your devices or connect to Wi-Fi, spend time with friends and family. We are sincerely glad to welcome guests to McDonald’s to support them in difficult times.
«However, like everyone else, we face challenges during prolonged cold weather, as diesel fuel in generators tends to freeze in sub-zero temperatures. However, we try to resume operations as quickly as possible, and our teams provide the highest level of service every day, preparing warm drinks and favorite dishes for customers. We are there for you if you need light and comfort.»

As dev.ua previously wrote, businesses have become real points of invincibility for Kyiv residents. According to the editorial team’s observations, McDonald’s, which Ukrainians have considered an island of stability since the beginning of the invasion, invites Kyiv residents to warm up, eat, and even work. However, long outages force the chain to make difficult decisions, closing some establishments when there is no electricity, or limiting certain dishes on the menu (for example, you can’t always buy ice cream). In addition, sometimes there are pauses in the work of McDrive, and people are sometimes allowed into the establishment in a dosed manner, observing the queue so as not to overload the equipment and issue orders on time.
