The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the launch of a new training course "Countering FPV at the Tactical Level." From now on, military personnel can learn in the "Army+" application how to spot an enemy drone in time, reduce the risk of being hit, and act correctly during an attack.
The goal of the course is to help servicemen better prepare for air threats, avoid typical mistakes, and significantly reduce risks to themselves, their comrades, and their subordinates while performing combat missions, the Ministry of Defense reports .
The curriculum consists of 10 lessons that cover key aspects of security and tactical countermeasures.
Threat recognition: types of FPV drones, their operating principles, and key dangers.
Camouflage and stealth: signs by which the enemy detects personnel, equipment, and positions, as well as critical mistakes to avoid.
Using protective equipment: choosing equipment, choosing the right cover, and effectively masking positions.
Actions during an attack: algorithms for safe movement on foot and by transport, as well as the procedure for responding to the immediate appearance of an FPV drone.
Countermeasures: use of personal small arms against drones, surveillance and unit alert system.
Actions after an attack: providing self-help, evacuating the wounded, and a protocol for actions in case of detecting an unexploded drone.
All materials focus on real-life situations that defenders face on the front lines every day.
The course was developed by the public organization "Magura" with the active participation of experts from the Defense Forces of Ukraine who have direct combat experience in countering drones.
The training course "Countering FPV at the Tactical Level" is now available in the "Training" section of the "Army+" application.
