A Ukrainian created a crowdsourcing platform YakVdoma for adaptation abroad
Design Engineer Vsevolod Shymko launched a new service YakVdoma to simplify the lives of Ukrainians who find themselves in other countries. The application is designed in the Telegram Mini App format, which allows you to use it directly in the messenger without additional downloads.

The idea for creating the platform arose from the developer's own experience after relocation. Vsevolod encountered the fact that searching for basic services and proven locations turned into chaotic scrolling through dozens of disparate chats and groups.
"While I'm open to new opportunities as a product designer, I decided not to waste time and made my own small application based on Telegram. I immersed myself in vibe coding - fortunately, now everyone can implement their ideas - and solved a real problem that I faced myself after moving to Europe. When you arrive in a new country, finding basic things, such as a proven service station, a cozy coffee shop, or a craftsman who understands your language, can be a quest," says Vsevolod Shimko on LinkedIn.
The main feature of YakVdoma is its completely crowdsourcing model: the platform's content is formed by the users themselves, who add and develop content based on their own experience.
What features are already available in the application:
Adding points and businesses: the ability to mark favorite locations (coffee shops, parks, shops) on the map and view recommendations from others. Business owners can add their business with a description, photo and contacts.
Catalog of services and craftsmen: specialists of any profile (beauty masters, tutors, plumbers, translators) can publish a service card to find new clients.
Database of useful chats: a catalog of verified local Telegram communities and mutual aid groups, where everyone can add a useful link.
Interactive map: a convenient system for searching and filtering objects near the user based on their geolocation.
"Favorites" section: quickly save the necessary contacts, chats and locations with one click.
The project is currently in open beta testing. The developer, together with friends, is initially filling the platform with content and actively collecting feedback from early users to further improve the service.
"The service is currently in the open beta test stage, I fill in the points myself together with my friends. I would be sincerely grateful for the test and honest feedback: how convenient and clear everything is, and what else is missing in terms of functionality," the author of the project concludes.
