Yaroslav Azhnyuk predicts the emergence of a "Netflix for drones"
Ukrainian IT entrepreneur Yaroslav Azhnyuk believes that global defense procurement of unmanned systems will soon move to a subscription model similar to streaming services or insurance.
Ukrainian IT entrepreneur Yaroslav Azhnyuk believes that global defense procurement of unmanned systems will soon move to a subscription model similar to streaming services or insurance.
The founder of Fourth Law said this in an interview with Toronto Television.
According to Azhnyuk, the defense ministries of various countries will conclude long-term contracts with UAV manufacturers not just for the supply of a certain number of devices, but for their comprehensive maintenance. Such a model will provide for regular updates of both software and hardware, as well as a guarantee of rapid scaling of production if necessary.
"You will purchase certain such batches, fleets of various drones, interceptors, FPV, bombers. You have a company, you have a five-year contract with it, they supply you, for example, 1,000 drones. But this contract is not about them delivering 1,000 drones and waving their hands. It also includes regular weekly or monthly software updates, annual hardware updates, training, support," Azhnyuk explained the concept.
A key element of such agreements will be the manufacturer's commitment to sharply increase supply in a short period of time.
"The most important obligation is to deliver, for example, ten times more drones than the 1,000 drones that are purchased from you, within a certain specified short period of time, if necessary," the entrepreneur noted.
Azhnyuk emphasized that monthly payment under such a model will allow manufacturing companies to keep equipment "at the cutting edge of technological progress", stably finance development, and maintain the ability to quickly scale production even in peacetime.
Earlier, Yaroslav Azhnyuk called the emergence of artificial intelligence "the most outstanding technology" that humanity has created in its history. He predicts that AI will soon change the battlefield, and "robops with machine guns on their backs" will no longer seem like science fiction.
“Someday you will be able to proudly answer your children and grandchildren’s questions about what you were doing in 2026.” Yaroslav Azhnyuk announced 100 vacancies in R&D and Ops and 100 vacancies in the production of miltech devices in his projects The Fourth Law and Odd Systems
