Inc. writes about this with reference to the well-known technology columnist and AI consultant Joe Procopio. He notes that businesses are increasingly tired of low-quality automated content and chaotic decisions based on chatbot prompts. This is leading to severe sanctions within companies.
Procopio describes cases of radical actions by management due to the prevalence of generated spam. In particular, one of the CEOs threatened to immediately fire the first employee who sent him another unedited email directly from ChatGPT. The manager was outraged that instead of quality work, employees began to massively send meaningless automated text, shifting the analysis to the recipient.
At the same time, in some companies, there is another trend where AI itself has become a tool for layoffs. A number of executives have become so enamored with the advice of algorithms that they have begun discussing layoff lists with chatbots and making critical business decisions based on the models’ recommendations. Experts warn that such blind trust in the technology destabilizes teams and destroys the work environment, forcing other CEOs to completely ban the use of AI within their organizations.
This wave of frustration comes as the cost of AI infrastructure skyrockets in 2026. Data center capacity shortages and energy supply issues are forcing technology providers to raise prices for customers. As a result, businesses are faced with a situation where expensive tools not only cause financial losses, but also provoke internal conflicts and threaten the jobs of specialists.
Previously, Swarmer’s Chief Product Officer, Mykhailo Nestor, warned that the business’s desire to optimize the structure by eliminating the middle management level is a short-sighted decision that threatens the future of the entire IT industry.
