For Intellias, Roman Gapachilo left EPAM, where he held the position of Head of Talent Acquisition. Almost seven years ago, on April 1, 2019, he became VP Talent Management at Intellias.
“Almost 7 years ago, I was sitting in the lobby of the Ibis Hotel in Singapore and signing an offer to join Intellias, where I was handing over cases and onboarding a new Head of Talent Acquisition at EPAM APAC. On April 1, 2019 (a great day to join the company), I started working as VP Talent Management at Intellias, and my first business trip was to Ivano-Frankivsk. During that trip, I thought: what have I done? I left a large, global and successful company to join a small company (for the global market - although for the Lviv market Intellias was already a large company at that time with 900 employees), a predominantly Lviv organization with an office in Kyiv, where 70% of the business was with one client,” Gapachilo shared his memories on Facebook.
At the same time, he emphasized that in 2026 he leaves Intellias as a successful global company with development centers in Colombia, India, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Spain, Portugal, Croatia and Ukraine, with offices in the USA, UK, UAE and Japan, with over 3,000 IntelliPeople and 150 clients.
Over the years, Intellias has built a Human-Centered Workplace ecosystem. According to Gapachyl, this has allowed the company to become the Best Employer in Ukraine by DOU several times, the No. 1 Employer in Ukraine by Forbes twice among all industries, and to receive dozens of awards in Europe, APAC, the UK, and LATAM.
Roman Gapachilo did not give a reason for leaving the company, but noted: "We are entering a new AI era that is once again challenging our business. To move this forward, you need a full tank of fuel - mine is already empty."
Recall that Gapachilo is also known for his "Banderodrones" initiative , which he launched in 2022.
