As reported in its analytical material by Opendatabot, in general, women opened more than 153,000 new individual entrepreneurs in 10 months of 2025, which is 61% of the total number of newly created individual entrepreneurs.
It is worth adding that another 8,400 new sole proprietorships, or 5,5% of the total, were opened by women in the «Information Services» sector.
Another 3,986 women opened sole proprietorships in the advertising sector. This is 2,6% of the total number of new sole proprietorships opened by women.
Opendatabot states that the largest number of businesses registered by women this year were in the capital, Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions, and trade, education and beauty are the leading areas of female entrepreneurship.
An interesting fact is also that among foreign women in Ukraine, the largest number of individual entrepreneurs were registered by citizens of the Russian Federation — 175 individual entrepreneurs, or 29,4% of all registered by foreign women.
As reported, in October, the Ukrainian IT market added more individual entrepreneurs than new companies: 3,338 individual entrepreneurs and 342 legal entities were registered. Compared to September, there were 99 fewer companies, but 246 more individual entrepreneurs.
Meanwhile, IT workers opened more sole proprietorships than they closed in the third quarter of 2025 .
