President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on his social media channel.
«The pace and volume of applications clearly demonstrate the timeliness and necessity of such a support program,» he concluded.
Zelenskyy clarified that of these applications, more than 300,000 were for children.
He also recalled that from November 18, it will be possible to submit applications for «Winter Support» through Ukrposhta, promising that the government will provide full funding for the program.
As dev.ua wrote, the «Winter Support» program began its work on November 15, so all Ukrainians will be able to receive UAH 1,000 from the state through the «Diya» service.
Just a few hours after the program started , it was reported that «Diya» was operating intermittently due to heavy workload .
Meanwhile, Monobank co-owner Oleg Horohovsky announced a raffle of 200 charging stations among those citizens who will withdraw 1,000 hryvnias of «Winter Support» to Monobank cards.
