Wargaming has announced a closed beta test of its new free-to-play game World of Tanks: HEAT. Developers from its Kyiv office are working on it, in particular.
Wargaming describes World of Tanks: HEAT as a combination of an action game about tanks and a hero shooter.
HEAT takes place in an alternate post-World War II era. Players take on the role of elite Agents with unique game-changing abilities and command a variety of experimental vehicles. Each tank has its own tactical advantages that can be customized with advanced weapon systems, armor modules, and visual enhancements.
Players will be able to try out a diverse lineup of tanks and Agents during the closed beta, which will run from April 16 to 20. The beta will feature four PvP modes across eight maps.
You can apply to participate in the closed beta test on the World of Tanks: HEAT website or on the game’s Steam page. Ukrainian localization will be available in World of Tanks: HEAT already during the beta stage.
The developers note that World of Tanks: HEAT was built on Wargaming’s new proprietary engine. It will be released simultaneously on PC (on Wargaming Game Center and Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It will also support Steam Deck and Nvidia GeForce NOW and will feature cross-platform play and cross-progression.
