The service allows you to take AI notes and transcribe audio meetings entirely locally on your device, without transferring data to the cloud and without the need for an Internet connection.

The service allows you to take AI notes and transcribe audio meetings entirely locally on your device, without transferring data to the cloud and without the need for an Internet connection.
He announced this on his social networks. According to Borislavsky, the idea to create his own solution arose due to the shortcomings of existing analogues, which require a paid subscription or send private conversations to third-party servers.
"I didn’t make a revolution. I wanted AI notes that don’t send my conversations to other people’s servers and don’t ask for a subscription. I made it for myself, now I’m sharing it," the IT expert noted.
Zapyso supports Ukrainian and English languages, in particular, it correctly processes slurred speech and mixed speech within a single sentence. When creating a meeting summary, the application independently highlights key decisions, open questions, and next steps, automatically converting time expressions (for example, "by Friday") into specific dates. Each summary point is time-coded to the corresponding moment in the audio recording.
The macOS version can automatically detect the start of a call in Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Telegram, offering to start recording without adding third-party AI bots to the conference. In addition, the desktop version has a voice input function with automatic text formatting in any application.
From a technical perspective, Zapyso uses the Parakeet model for speech recognition and Google’s open-source Gemma model for summarization. Both models run solely on the processing power of the user’s smartphone or computer. Internet access is only required once to download the working models, which weigh about 4 GB.
The application is completely free, without ads or subscriptions. Zapyso requires iOS 18 on your smartphone, and summary generation is available on iPhone 15 Pro and newer. The Mac version is currently in public beta and requires an Apple Silicon processor.
