"There is no need to do anything with mobile communications nationwide right now." Flash commented on possible government measures in the event of "shaheed" attacks
Radio technology specialist, military and engineer Serhiy «Flash» Bezkrestnov denies the need to turn off mobile communications and the Internet to combat enemy «shaheeds» at this stage.
Radio technology specialist, military and engineer Serhiy «Flash» Bezkrestnov denies the need to turn off mobile communications and the Internet to combat enemy «shaheeds» at this stage.
«Every month, the topic of disabling mobile communications or data services as a means of combating enemy UAVs is raised. At the moment, the „Shaheeds“ are not controlled via mobile communications, and we stop attempts to transmit flight coordinates by blocking the enemy’s SIM cards. That is, now there is no need to do anything with mobile communications on a national scale,» he commented on this issue on his social networks.
Bezkrestnov added that there is currently no real need to disconnect these services, but Ukraine must be ready for any scenarios. «If there is a problem, we will act,» he assured.
Recall that information recently appeared that the General Staff is considering the possibility of disabling mobile Internet during attacks by enemy drones that use SIM cards from other countries, including Ukraine.
Similar information has appeared repeatedly before, but the mobile operator Kyivstar did not provide a clear answer as to whether they would turn off communications and the Internet in the path of the Russian «shaheeds». They said that they would «take all necessary measures, but they do not have the right to disclose their content.»
