According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 692, the salary criterion for critical enterprises is set at the level of 3 minimum wages (MW). If draft law No. 16000 with the MW of UAH 9,546 is adopted, the standard threshold will reach UAH 28,638, reports "Sudovo-Yurydychna Gazeta".
Starting in September 2026, the monthly payment to a reserved person must be at least 3 minimum wages. If the new minimum wage comes into effect on January 1, 2027, employers should focus on the new amount in January when calculating the indicators for December.
Basic calculations and exceptions:
General requirement (3 MWP): the average salary at the enterprise and the salary of the reserved employee must be from 28,638 UAH (9546X3).
Preferential coefficient (2.5 MWP): retained for enterprises located in zones of possible or active hostilities or in temporarily occupied territories. For them, the threshold will be 23,865 UAH (9,546X2.5).
As a reminder, the government has approved the draft State Budget for 2027. The document provides for an increase in the minimum wage (MW) and the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons, which will directly affect tax obligations and income limits of individual entrepreneurs.
