«Our potential in the production of drones and missiles alone next year will be $35 billion. Already at the front, more than 40% of the weapons used are weapons produced in Ukraine or produced with Ukraine. And our weapons will only increase,» Zelensky said at the International Defense Industries Forum.
According to him, the government and Ukrainian manufacturers are currently working to increase the number of Ukrainian weapons at the front to 50% by the end of 2025.
«We need funding so that the full potential really works. And we are working with all partners who can help ensure this. The time has come to launch the export of our Ukrainian weapons — those types of weapons that we have in surplus, and therefore can be exported, so that there is funding for those types of weapons that are especially needed for defense,» the president said.
Zelenskyy said he had instructed the government, the Office and the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to develop and present key elements of such an export system. He added that the working title of the program for the export of miltech products is «Weapons.»
The President recalled that there are already agreements to open export-import platforms in Europe, the United States, and the Middle East, which could begin operating by the end of the year.

Last year, the Technological Forces of Ukraine (TSU) association, which unites the largest manufacturers of drones and other technological products, conducted a survey among 35 companies involved in defense orders. 38% of companies reported that more than half of their capacities are currently idle. Only a third of respondents said that the workshops are fully loaded.
