He said this during the briefing «Digital Opportunities for Veterans: Accessibility and Respect,» Ukrinform reports.
«I want to announce a service in „Diya“ that concerns not only veterans, but I think it will also be popular among veterans. This is „Weapon Permit“. In the near future, I hope that this month, we will launch it. It is currently in beta testing», — Fedorov said.
Users of «Diia» will be able to view the already obtained weapon permit, receive an extract on the availability of permits, find out the characteristics of the weapon, etc. Obtaining a weapon permit in «Diya» will appear later. This will be the next stage of development, the Ministry of Digital Transformation says.
«You won’t need to carry any other permits with you. Just the document in the „Actions“ and the QR code, as always», — added Mykhailo Fedorov.
In his Telegram, he also spoke about new services and opportunities for veterans in «Diya», which the Ministry of Digital Economy and Finance worked on together with the Ministry of Veterans. Thus, the public service will conduct a survey to determine the needs of veterans and new targeted payments will appear for various life needs of veterans.
«We will also launch a separate profile for defenders in „Diya“. The application will automatically understand that a person is a veteran and adapt the interface. This „Diya“ profile will include all services for veterans,» Fedorov said.
According to him, there will be a separate tab for veterans with various opportunities: loan and grant programs, offers from the city, training, etc.
Last fall, it was reported that by the end of January 2025, an electronic permit for a registered weapon with a QR code for verification, as well as information about it, will be displayed in the «Diya» service, but not for all owners at once.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Leonid Timchenko noted that digitizing all existing weapons permits will take a long time. According to him, the full launch of the electronic service will only occur when the last paper permit, the «booklet», is converted into electronic form.
«Everything is online in „Diya“. The permit is at hand in any situation, and there is no need to carry other permits. Initially, it will work in a beta-testing format — we will constantly analyze feedback and check if everything is working,» the Minister of Digital Transformation said.

According to Mikhail Fedorov, the document in the application cannot be forged — the police will be able to instantly check its legality and information about the owner, which reduces the risk of illegal weapons trafficking.
To test the «Weapon Permit» you need to update the application, scroll through the documents to the end and click «Add Document». If the user’s weapon is registered in the Unified Registry, the corresponding document will appear in the application.
