A Ukrainian team has launched a mobile application for motorcyclists called ZGRAYA, which combines navigation, route and point of interest search, safety features, and social interaction. The application recently exited beta testing and became available for Android users.
The idea of ZGRAYA is to save riders from having to use multiple apps at once during a ride. The team positions the product as a kind of «operating system» for the motorcycle community. The author of the ZGRAYA idea, Serhiy Nikonorov, is a rider himself, so the product grew out of the real needs of the motorcycle community. Today, the application is created by a Ukrainian team together with beta testers, whose experience and feedback help develop the product.
Among the main usage scenarios are: routes and «passes», interesting places to stop, safety tools and communication with other riders.
«We are creating ZGRAYA to become an 'operating system' for riders. Our mission is to combine navigation, social interaction and security technologies to make every trip more comfortable, safer and more meaningful,» the developers describe the concept.
The team also talks about transforming a rider’s smartphone from a potential risk factor to a «trusted navigator.»
The application can be downloaded from the App Store and GooglePlay .
