This is stated in the position of the Ministry of Digital Affairs «regarding manipulative statements about the „Diya.City“ project», published on the official website of the ministry.
«Diya.City never had the goal of destroying or completely displacing individual entrepreneurs in the IT sphere. Of the 175,000+ IT specialists working in resident companies, only up to 5% of specialists work under the individual entrepreneur model, which is directly permitted by law,» the Ministry of Digital Affairs emphasizes.
The ministry also reminds that the number of registered individual entrepreneurs is not yet equal to the number of active IT specialists who work and pay taxes.
«And some specialists may have an open sole proprietorship, but simultaneously work as an employee or under a GIG contract,» they explain there.
In addition, the Ministry of Digital Affairs also focused on manipulations regarding the tax on withdrawn capital, pointing out that this is not a universal taxation model for all companies.
«Resident companies themselves choose the tax model that corresponds to their development strategy and business model,» the ministry indicated.

He complained that over 4.5 years, «Diya.City» has not helped change the sole proprietorship model for Ukrainian IT.
