The athlete’s decision was announced by the press service of the esports club in an official statement. Passion UA representatives thanked Zinchenko for his trust, comprehensive support, and significant contribution to the development of the organization from the first days of its existence.
Passion UA CEO Artemiys Ryabovs noted that the involvement of a famous football player has become an important part of the club’s history.
«His support helped lay the foundation for the club’s development, and his involvement in the project was an important part of our shared history. I am grateful for the support, trust, and belief in the project throughout this time,» commented Ryabovs, adding that the organization continues to move forward and focus on future challenges.
Oleksandr Zinchenko himself also said a warm goodbye to the team and fans, summing up this stage of his career.
«Almost three years. Hundreds of matches. Thousands of emotions. Today my story with Passion UA ends. I am grateful to everyone who has been a part of this journey — players, coaches, employees, partners and, of course, our fans. Thank you for your support throughout all these years,» the athlete said .
The Passion UA esports organization was founded in August 2023 on the initiative of Oleksandr Zinchenko and the famous Ukrainian coach Mykhailo Kane Blagin. The first and main direction of the club’s work was the Counter-Strike 2 discipline, where the team demonstrated rapid development and attracted young Ukrainian talents, later expanding its presence to other games.
