The company said that users of the basic plan will be able to use the AI assistant for three meetings per month. For each of them, summaries, the ability to ask questions during the call and AI notes will be available. In addition, they can ask up to 20 questions via the sidebar or the new web interface. There is also a paid extension for $ 10 for full access to all the features of the AI assistant, writes TechCrunch.
The company is also adding conversation starters to the new web interface to inform users about what the assistant can do.
Zoom said that with this update, the assistant can also pull in information from third-party services like Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive, as well as any data stored within Zoom. The company said it will soon add support for Gmail and Microsoft Outlook as connectors.
The AI assistant also generates a daily report that summarizes the day's meetings, tasks, and updates. What's more, the assistant can create follow-up tasks and draft emails.
Zoom is also adding new features for creating and managing documents. With the updated Assistant, users can draft and edit documents based on details from meetings. The company says that you can start working on a project directly in the Assistant interface and then transfer it to Zoom Docs for collaboration with your team. Exporting documents to MD, PDF, Microsoft Word, and Zoom Docs is supported.
Recall that the latest version of the AI tools platform, AI Companion 3.0, was introduced in September 2025.
According to the company, the AI tools use a combination of its own models and models from OpenAI and Anthropic.
