This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The attack was also confirmed by the press service of the center's main structure, the Kosmichny Svyazok enterprise. They stated that the center was attacked by drones, Russian media reported.
"The functioning of television broadcasting and communications has not been disrupted. Measures are being taken to eliminate the consequences. The Central Communications Service personnel were not injured," the center's press service assured.
The Dubna Space Communications Center was launched in 1980 as an Olympic facility. Its task during the Moscow Olympics was to ensure the broadcast of the games to the countries of Europe and the Atlantic region. After the Olympics, the center's task was to organize a direct government communication line between the Kremlin and the US White House. The Space Communications website states that the center is currently the largest teleport in Russia and one of the largest in Europe, and "solves a variety of tasks in the field of satellite communications."
