The Armed Forces of Ukraine have received Ukrainian TERMIT unmanned ground systems, which can be equipped with Browning machine guns or Starlink terminals

«TERMIT is a tracked robotic complex. This is a new iteration of the complex. Many samples of the previous model are working at the front. They are used, for example, to perform logistical tasks and monitor enemy actions,» the Ministry of Defense notes.

The manufacturer’s website, Tencore, lists the following characteristics of TERMIT:

• Weight — 280 kg.
• Load — 300 kg.
• Work — up to 12 hours.
• Speed — 10 km/h
• Range — 20 km.
• Control range — up to 20 km.
• The cost is from $12,000.

«Thanks to its squat silhouette, low center of gravity, and tracks, this ground robot can move over various types of soils and surfaces: difficult off-road terrain, steep slopes, overcome obstacles, move through trenches, etc. The battery capacity is enough for several hours of continuous operation, during which the robot can cover several dozen kilometers,» the defense department says.

The developers note that the platform has high mobility and modularity, in particular, TERMIT can be carriers of combat modules: with a Browning machine gun and an MK19 grenade launcher. Drones can also be used for logistics or mining.

Tencore notes that additional options can be installed on TERMIT, such as analog or digital communication, a Starlink mini module for satellite communication, additional platform armor, a winch module, or a Boombox electronic warfare module.

More than 20 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already working with TERMIT, which uses the NRC for logistics, mining, and combat. The new version of the platform has improved dynamic characteristics and potential for further improvement, the Ministry of Defense notes.

Last year, Ukrainian manufacturers Frontline and Tencore combined their developments into a single combat system that will allow soldiers to fire from a grenade launcher without exposing themselves to danger. Frontline developed a remotely controlled turret for the MK-19 «Storm». Tencore produces the multifunctional NRC «Termit». These two developments have been successfully integrated into a single combat system.
